does anyone know anything about the physics graduate program there? I have been looking at their staff, and information on their website about the school/city. It looks good, but I would like to get some first hand opinions if anyone can give them.

Thanks,

I know a guy who is doing graduate math there and he says it's great. Don't know about physics though.

As a physics graduate student at the University of Oregon, I can provide some insight into the program. Overall, I have had a positive experience here. The faculty are knowledgeable and supportive, and the curriculum is rigorous but well-structured. The department also offers a variety of research opportunities and collaborations with other departments, which is great for expanding your knowledge and skills.

One aspect that sets the program apart is the emphasis on interdisciplinary research. This allows for a more well-rounded education and prepares students for a wide range of career paths. Additionally, the campus and surrounding city of Eugene have a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere, making it a great place to live and study.

Of course, every graduate program has its strengths and weaknesses, but overall I have been satisfied with my experience at the University of Oregon. I recommend reaching out to current students or alumni for more specific feedback, as their perspectives may differ from mine. Best of luck in your decision-making process!
