I notice in the "User" link button along the top of page, at bottom of the open link is a textbox with inside caption, "Update your status ..."
What does that mean? What does that do? I am expecting the answer to be simple. What kind of "status" do it refer?

It posts to your user profile

Is that something helpful to me, or to other users? I have no idea why or how to use this. Just a text box. One could write anything one wants . What if I open the User link and I write in the textbox, "I am not signed-in." and click the "Post" button? Later, when I may actually be signed in, do any members want to specifically go to my profile page and see my posting on it telling them "I am not signed-in"? But at that time, I would be signed-in. What if I put into the textbox, "Past time for Pizza"? Then are any members really interested in looking at the posts on my profile page and reading "Past time for Pizza"?

As I try to explain, I do not understand.

Interesting Listing. I wonder, where does a member find the listing of Profile Posts?

Still, why profile posts? Does one member make a post to another member's profile? I can truly only understand two kinds of postings: Post on a forum or topic; Private Message post to an individual member.

For purposes of post #6, a P.M. with brief response will come shortly.
