Oh, right.
It did stay on topic longer than usual.

Pattylou...still waiting for that shoe size.

No no no no, there's a very good reason for her question. *Whispers to PattyLou* Just say size 8.

Relative to the length of its creative germination period, it was a damn GOOD poem!

LOL.

You can call me Patty, everyone, though I don't mind Pattylou. If I had thought to call myself "The Patty" (or even "The Party," as that is an easy typo from The Patty and goofy enough to be fun if not accurate) I would have.

Hmmm... I am guessing my shoe size depends on what country I'm from. I'll have to google to find a suitably obscure response. Though I've alreay amply demostrated my Yankihood.

While I'm googling, Evo, I have a question for you and anyone else here. Would you drink a beverage made primarily from squeezed lemons?

 • #55
My shoe size is between 5 and 248. For the present I'll go with 36, but I won't tell you which country that is.

It has to do with an odd fact that surfaced in another thread a while back. You must answer honestly.

Not primarily as in volume but as one of a few ingredients, yes.

Oh dear. Now I need to find a search engine on this forum.

Ooh, creative germination period. You should put that in a poem. :approve: Try a limerick.
There once was a creative germination period... Or maybe an ode to the creative germination period.

Well, they were the first words that came to my head?

I'll work on that limerick, though..

It's in the top menu. I'm curious about this too.

Yes, it's very nice. You have a gift.

Oh very well.

But I have to preface this with the admission that I really *don't* like physics. I like Biology. (I also wish to point out that the thread is from last September... heheheh... )

But in the geeky spirit of gathering data, I'll admit to being a size eight. Of course, with only about 5 female respondents on that thread, the odds of all 8's but one - isn't too unusual.

I'm short, too. If that matters. Not quite 5 foot 3.

Oh dear, depending on the country, I believe 39 would be the correct answer. :frown:

Honestrosewater, we don't know your shoe size and you're still posting?

Ok, we found out that all of the women posting in GD had a size 8 shoe, except for Tsu, with a size 7, but that's ok because she's Tsu. It was rather odd.

 • #64
I like being tall.

That was the next question. :-p You fit in the average height as well.

My daughter wears a size nine, my mother wears a 6.

I checked shoes- 9.5, slippers- 9, tennis shoes- 9, sandals- 9. I guess that's a 9. I'm an anomaly. Oh, and I'm 5'8.
This means that I have a bigger brain, right? :-p I'm sure I read that somewhere... can't find the link just now. Oh, nevermind, my being blonde probably negates any gain from shoe size. :frown:

Aww, being blonde is okay. It means you're even smarter to have overcome such a handicap as blondeness. :approve: I only have some bad days when the roots dig deeper into my brain than usual and I get extra ditzy. :-p But you're way too tall for us. ... Oh wait, that means you can reach the top shelf! Okay, you can stick around, we need someone who can reach the stuff way up high.

PattyLou is just the right height and shoe size to be one of the twins...uh...quintuplets...or is that sextuplets? of the sisterhood (even if some of us were born a decade or so apart from one another). You'll have to settle for being the little sister, who happens to be bigger than all of us.

As in lemonade? Nope. It's either too sour, or they add so much sugar it's way too sweet. But if it's something like a whiskey sour with lemon in it, mmmmm hmmmmm.

Woo hoo! Kind of like Little John from Robin Hood. Er, maybe that's not the best example. Blonde moment.

Also, Patty, the PF clothing department just contacted me. They need to know what size habbit you require. And do you prefer clean or dirty habbits?

 • #71
ah damnit. Is it one of those doctoral gowns with hoods that only the PhDs get around here on PF

well I got my blue cap and gown from high school days, until proven otherwise

LOL.

Well, normally around the house I wear something like this:

But I'm sure whatever you have lying around will be just fine.

(Oh, I'm going to regret this.)

Hey, you must go to the same shop as MIH for your habbits. :approve: I prefer the traditional cotton this time of year; that pleather gets really sticky in the summer heat.

You're very naughty, Ivan. Are you sure you're an administrator?

No, I'm a mentor. But you started it!

Besides, I'm a happily married man. So I'm cute, not naughty.

True, Ivan is happily married to my identical PF twin sister Tsu who has been too busy lately to post much.

Love your habit by the way, too bad you missed when the "sisters" all became nuns (with guns), you would have fit right in. :-p

You guys are weird. Weird's good. I thought I came here for intelligent conversation, though.

Hey Evo, how old are your kids? Ours are 8 and 5.

You won't find much of that in GD, except that posted by myself, Danger, or yomamma.

Wait a minute...!

Intelligent conversation occasionally filters down here, but this is our playground.

If you have time and enjoy humor, check out the General Discussion Classics thread. We have some very funny and clever members.

Hey Evo, how old are your kids? Ours are 8 and 5.
They're 17 and 20. Both girls. I took seven years off from work to raise them, it was the best time of my life, you won't regret it.

Sometimes I enjoy drinking lemon juice. From time to time I just have to have intense citrus. Vitamin tablets, V-8, and fortified cereal cannot substitute.

btw, the oddball shoe size 36... ain't UK. 39 would be right for American size 8, but I wanted an obscure country so I went with the Ukraine.

Nereid too I think (a treasure).

Patty . . . I wasn't sure how to communicate this so I thought I'd try your own thread. I sent you a private message regarding reference materials you've expressed interest in. If you haven't adjusted your Preferences to notify you when someone PMs you, then you might never realize people are sending you messages. Anyway, check your messages!

Excuse me one second, while I pick cronxeh's jaw off the floor, and wipe up the traces, no wait, puddles of saliva which have accumulated around his feet...
