How did you find PF?
I was looking for opinions on how acceleration plays a role in relativistic effects (unrelated to gravity), for example time dilation of two low mass objects accelerating in a vacuum.
I am a math PhD working in software/technology who is a physics hobbyist. I’ve gone through MIT 8.01 - 8.05 courses and watched and worked through a number of additional videos and problems. My interest is mostly getting exposure to more ideas through the community. I don’t plan on trying to unify physics or explain the causes of QM or relativity :). However, it’s a very interesting subject and I just like to learn in small amounts at the periphery of my current understanding.

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
