The discussion revolves around finding a unique, physics-inspired band name. The original poster considered names like Neon Black and Bigger Than Infinity but found them unsuitable due to existing bands. Suggestions from the community included Quantum Chromatics, The Valence Band, and Time Dilation, with a focus on names that are catchy yet easy to spell for a non-geek audience. The poster ultimately chose Quantum Chromatics, appreciating its connection to their original idea of Quantum Chromodynamics. The conversation also highlighted the playful nature of the suggestions, with humorous names like The Fig Newtons and The Family Joules being proposed. Overall, the thread showcases a collaborative effort to brainstorm creative band names that reflect a love for physics while remaining accessible to a broader audience.

That would be because as far as I know you have to register with Facebook in order to access any of their stuff. I would rather have my left nut crushed in a vise than become involved with those idiots.

And thank you for making me imagine that. Now my pubic region is hurting for no reason.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.

I like the name The Fig Newtons. Maybe I'll make a band and call ourselves The Fig Newtons since that guy wants to use some other name.

Don't come crawling back wanting to use The Fig Newtons, because I'll already be using it. But I'll let you have The Fig Einsteins, if you're lucky.

Lol I love Quantum Chromatics, but I'd definitely want to tour with The Fig Newtons
