What are the latest discoveries in particle physics and quantum field theory?

Hi everyone! I'm a curious soul who's trying to figure out how this world of ours works.

I'm a Physics and Engineering graduate with some courses in Astrophysics and QM. Recently got a renewed interest in particle physics, QFT, symmetries etc. I'm excited to read around and learn, and perhaps I'll be able to explain some things too.
