What Are the Variables in a Photosynthesis Experiment Using Phenol Red?

Click For Summary
In the photosynthesis experiment using phenol red, the independent variable is the presence of light, while the dependent variable is the color change in the phenol red solution, indicating carbon absorption by the plants. Control variables include the type of plants used, the amount of water, and the concentration of phenol red. Understanding the differences between these variables is crucial for accurate experimental design. Providing a detailed list of all variables can enhance clarity and facilitate better assistance. Clear definitions and examples of each variable type are essential for successful experimentation.

Photosynthesis - urgent help!

I am doing an experiment where there are two plants in test tubes in water which contains phenol red. The experiment is to find out if plants absorb carbon. What are the independent, dependent and control variables?

You need to provide some of your own work first. How do you define (or what are the differences between) an independent, dependent, and control variable?

Can you list all the variables in your experiment, even if you aren't sure which kind they are yet? Otherwise, you have not yet provided enough information for us to help you.
