Art Bell, a well-known talk-radio host, recently announced his marriage to a Filipino woman, Airyn Ruiz, and his plans to move to the Philippines while continuing his weekend broadcasts. This decision has sparked mixed reactions, with some expressing shock and concern about the age difference and the timing, as Bell's previous wife had recently passed away. Discussions revolve around the implications of his impulsive choice, with some suggesting he may be seeking companionship, care, or even a housekeeper due to his health issues. Critics question the authenticity of his relationship and speculate on his motivations, while others defend his right to pursue happiness. The change in his broadcasting location has also led to nostalgia for the unique atmosphere of his previous shows, which were often set against a backdrop of mystery and the paranormal. Overall, the conversation highlights the complexities of Bell's personal life and the public's fascination with it.

Yeah, me too. I really don't know what's up. Maybe the government is trying to take him again. And he has to go over to my corner. Don't worry! I'll protect him! Avant garde! Or En guard... or something like that. I never was very good at fencing. Too many sharp objects. Maybe I should go for the dual six-shooters or... YESS dual machine guns! Remember in one of those Arnold Schwazzentniggerh films, he takes down like the whole Mexican army that way?? Awesome!

haha i can picture this all to well

Art Bell Child Bride

Why didn't if they are so psychic Ed Dames, Gordon Michael Scallion, Sylvia Browne, or Sean David Morton remote view Art Bell getting married to a child bride? Bell says she's 21 however that's the Phillipines who really knows how old she is. I have troulbe believeing anything Bell says about this.

No kidding!

That reminds of the comment made by...crud...who was the black female vocalist who headed the Psychic Network on TV? When asked what had caused the network to go bankrupt, she said something like, ~"we're still not sure. We never saw it coming".

I got to say his shows have not had as much charm for me since he went to Manila. There was more of a "sharing ghost stories around the campfire" kind of feeling when he was broadcasting at night from the desert. Now I know he is looking out his window into broad daylight and it doesn't have quite the same spooky feel. I hope he moves back to the States.

I know what you mean. The fact he was out there at night on the edge of Area 51 like some self appointed sentinal of the paranormal and government cover-ups gave the show a great deal of its flavor.

I think he is catching on to the "missing mystique" factor. For the Halloween show he was saying that it was broad daylight outside his condo in Manila but he was going to pull his curtains so he could have the same spooky experience with his listeners.
I liked it better when he was out there in the desert night with the chupacabras scratching at the door.

Art Bell made a surprise announcement that he and his wife Airyn have just arrived in the US from the Philippines and that he was once again broadcasting the show "from the High Desert & the great American Southwest."

From the UFO hall of shame:
Someone summed Bell up rather well, "Bell's the crackwhore of UFOlogy."

   I about died laughing when I read that. Yep, all in all I'd have to agree. He has many great guests like Brian Greene, for example, but some of his guests, and esp repeat guests like Hoagland really drag the show down into the abyss. Ed Dames is another regular that I find impossible to tolerate.

I, too, enjoy some of the guests.

My take is that Art is much smarter than Noory. He could create scenerios. He had a talent for playing along with his callers and getting the best out of them. He knew his audience, when he could ridicule a caller and when not to.

Gee, and compared to Noory, Art can pronounce words. God, if you are doing a promo or commercial, at least look up the words you are unsure of ahead of time so the thing does not repeat umpteen times to constantly remind the world of your unworthiness of your job.

Noory is definitely second rate, and though they would both 'milk' the show for bucks, Art was smart enough and engaged in what the guests were saying enough, to really ask intelligent questions.

Noory often acts as though he neither knows nor does he really care what the guests are saying, especially if they are of a scientific or technical nature. Then, he will make innane comments, pretending he is somehow 'in the know' and expecting you to believe it.

That said, I remember Art having Ramona more engaged in the show. Even after that period, he would mention her lovingly, almost during every show. Then, there was a period of months passing in which he would never mention Ramona - you would not even know he was married - which ended in her mysterious death.

Shortly after that, one of his regular guests, and friend, said he was browsing along the internet and met this nice Philippino girl that way and thought she would be just yummy for Art. He intorduced them and they started a relationship over the net. Then he visited her in the Philippines and the rest is history.

I am off the wall, but nervous about how Ramona died, and how he seemed not to lover her as much for the time period right before her death. Was the cat that he did not take with him her cat? And how he left the country so soon after her death. Did he have the body cremated?

I know, these thoughts in my mind are TERRIBLE and I feel badly and ashamed for expressing them, but they are there and I am annonymous, so there you are.
