What does "spe******ts" mean?

"Landau and Lifshitz"

I was reading some other forum when I found word "spe******ts" - it took me some time to understand what I am seeing.

Perhaps I should post it in brain teasers :smile:

Hmm, what was the context?
 


Writing "Landau and Lifgarbagez" used to cause a similar bug. I have not understood "Spe******ts" however.
 


Oh, and what language was the forum? 'Cause I'll tell you right now, we're not going to get it if it's Polish.
 


I think it is "cialis" although I did not know this word before. Nice puzzle.

Edit: seems like humanino got it earlier as well.
 


Did the member bleep out the letters or did you verify that it was the forum software? I can't imagine what it could be censoring. Of course on some forums you can't say "wish it" or wash it". I remember cristo saying he wish it would snow and got censored. :-p

Probably gets lots of spam bots. Or perhaps it is just that strict that it does not wish discussion of anything sex related at all. I was bored one night and decided to try to troll on the Landover Baptist forums as "Screwtape" and they changed my user name to "crewtape". That was annoying. Especially since they are just a bunch of trolls themselves.

Anyway, while we're on the topic of word filters, the online game site Pogo has ridiculous chat filters. If you try to respond to somebody's questions with just "k," short for "okay," it gets bleeped out.

Then, if you try to say "I wish it wouldn't filter my words," it will show up as "I wi*****wouldn't filter my words."

I managed not to splutter, but that did induce the sip/laugh/choke/violent cough response.
But, their problem is more about big D****s. :smile:

Yes, Lifgarbagez was censored at one time, I think Greg fixed it.
