What insights can be gained from a forum for aspiring mechanical engineers?

The name's Simon Michel; aspiring Mechanical Engineer. I have been wrestling with all sorts of nightmarish forms of Physics by myself and my pals for a while now and I decided it would be a good idea to go on a forum, see what insight I can get.
