Nevermind the content of this FB post, I keep seeing this strange format from disparate sources.

The post has a pic of the content below and some other image on the top.
The top image has nothing to do with the content of the post. I have no idea what it's doing there.

Anybody have any clue?

For reference, here is another one. Different poster. Same format.

OK, this adds a little context. The entire post above is a single image. Opening the image in a new tab, it looks like this (the image actually only fills 60% of this screen grab some of the black background is not part of the image):

Is this with Firefox? If yes, have you tried another browser, like Chrome?

I had a problem with Messenger on Facebook, where the conversations weren't loading up, or it took a long time to send the messages or get the responses, sometimes it couldn't send the messages at all, with the "Couldn't send" alert message.

I'm not used to communicating on social media up until recently, so Messenger was a first for me, and I couldn't understand how people could tolerate this. My correspondent assured me she never had a problem and everything was fine on her side with me or anyone else.

After lots of frustration, it took me a while to think about checking with another browser, but that did the trick: It only happens with Firefox, and everything is fine with Chrome. Now, I'm using Facebook exclusively with Chrome just to make sure I can use Messenger. The weird thing is that I can't find anyone else online having a similar problem with Messenger and Firefox.

I am using Chrome.

It's not a rendering issue.

Posters are making posts in the form of images that look like this:

The aspect ratio is too tall for FB and it shows only the middle part:

That's a lot less mysterious now that I've managed to delve into it a bit.

It looks to me like people might be taking a screendump of their entire phone screen, and don't know how (or can't be bothered) to select the part of the screen that is relevant.

Yeah, that makes sense. Something like that.
