SUMMARY

This discussion centers on personal definitions of physics, emphasizing its nature as the study of fundamental principles governing the universe. A notable reference is made to Einstein's characterization of physics as the human endeavor to align thought with natural phenomena. Participants express varied interpretations, highlighting the subjective nature of defining physics while acknowledging its complexity. The conversation concludes with a note on the potential for religious implications, leading to the thread's closure.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of basic physics concepts
  • Familiarity with Einstein's theories and their impact on modern physics
  • Awareness of philosophical implications in scientific discussions
  • Ability to engage in abstract thinking and personal interpretation
NEXT STEPS
  • Research Einstein's "The Evolution of Physics" for deeper insights
  • Explore the philosophical implications of scientific definitions
  • Study the role of language and interpretation in scientific discourse
  • Investigate the relationship between science and religion in public discussions
USEFUL FOR

Students of physics, philosophers of science, and anyone interested in the subjective interpretations of scientific concepts will benefit from this discussion.

Define physics in your way.

Just define it in your way. I want to hear it's answer from everybody.

=D
Don't the words spelled wrongly have red squiggles under them anyway?

AnYwAy... In my opinion, Physics is the study of fundamentals in the universe.

oops!
that is physics
Now what's your view

"Define" is spelled wrongly too.

A never ending adventure of asking how and why all that exists happens.

Its the ultimate adventure mmm after sex i guess.

In The Evolution of Physics Einstein characterized physics as the continuing attempt of the human mind to get its thinking about natural phenomena in line with what's actually happening in nature.

I thought that was spot on, and that's the definition I subscribe to.
