Which has more potential energy, water or glucose?

Explain which has more potential energy in each pair:

water/glucose


I think the answer is glucose since it's a bigger molecule and thus can store more energy than water. Am I right in thinking this?

Molecule size doesn't matter much, bond strengths are much more important. Water is a final product of oxidation - and not without a reason.
