Who Was Albert Messiah and What Impact Did He Have on Quantum Mechanics?

[nitin]

Has anybody ever come across a biography of the author Albert Messiah, of "Quantum Mechanics" reknown. His textbook is still being widely used (after half a century of its first appearance), but I wonder how many actually know some interesting thing about him . I would be grateful if someone could direct me to one which is available online.

Cheers.

Probably not, as he asked 6 years ago,

I know, if he had just asked it wouldn't make sense to ask him that.
