An interesting thing about my photo, The spot where I stood when I took the photo that I entered in "Fire in the Sky" is actually in this shot. I was on the other bank of the river, just to the left of the bridge. Since that photo took second place, this bridge seems to be lucky for me!

I followed those swans for about 20min before they gave me that shot. I have some other pics of that canal which are not so pleasing (a water hen walking on the floating garbage!). Inspite of the low water quality it was a very beautiful walk through Dublin. A Dubliner, I spoke with said that historically that canal marked the boundary of Dublin, now it seems to be right in the middle of the city.
