Why can't supersymmetric particle masses be shifted arbitrarily high?

How very hyped up. In all honesty, I think a great many things will have to be altered in the Standard Model before any unification is achieved.
 
I guess that there are reasons why the masses of the supersymmetric particles cannot be shifted arbitrarily high ?

The hope for super-symmetry is that it can be used to avoid the fine-tuning needed for the Higgs mass. For that, you need soft-breaking near the TeV scale.
 
Do we have any near alternative theories against SUSY? If not, we could not help using SUSY.
 
Discussion about the physics of SUSY should be done in the Beyond The Standard Model forum. This thread is limited only to reporting what the LHC (both CMS and ATLAS) has not discovered per the expected SUSY particles.
