headlights on starting car are brighter . they immediately get dimmer . why?
Car headlights initially appear brighter upon starting the vehicle due to full power being supplied when the key is in the "Running" position. As the key is turned to the "Starter" position, the starter motor engages and draws significant current, causing a voltage drop in the battery due to its internal resistance. This results in the headlights dimming. Once the key is released back to the "Running" position, the headlights regain their brightness.
