hi i am new to this principle if i was to calculate the Heisenberg uncertainty of a nuclei of radius r would i take my delta x as r or as the diameter of the nuclei

thanks

The Heisenberg principle tells us that the product of the uncertainties of position and momentum must be greater than a certain number.

You would take your delta x as your uncertainty in the measurement (i.e. the radius of your nuclei plus or minus delta x).
