Do you have an area of Engineering that seems to interest you most (EE, ME, ChemE, etc.)?

Well, at many universities in the US, you don't have to declare your major until the start of your 3rd year. So that gives you some time to take a broad choice of (technical) classes to see which you like the most. I actually changed from ME to EE after my first year, based on how much I enjoyed (and was challenged by) my EE and programming classes.
