Question about transformation f(x)

2x^4 + 2x^2 +2x

3. The attempt at a solution

if i have a function like 2x^4 + 2x^2 + 2x

And i factor out a 2x.. as so 2x(x^3 +x +1)

Does that change the graph of the function? will it be a 3rd degree func instead of a 4th ?
