Hi Guys!

My teacher once asked me the following question:

Lasers are used to burn and read CDs. Why a laser that emits blue light would be capable of burning and reading more than the one with red light.

The wavelength of a blue laser is shorter than that of a red laser. The density of the tracks on a disk is inversely proportional to the read/write wavelength.
