Looking for a mechanical engineering school

Hi,

I am 23 years old and am interested in pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. I am currently a business major but I just hate it. Engineering is my real calling. I would like to find a school that has a more project-based/hands-on approach. I like the idea of having a degree, but the knowledge and skills are what I am really after. I have been out of school for a couple of years and I am not exactly sure if I can get into any of the "big" schools. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which schools I should look into? I am also a little money conscious so please factor that in.

Thanks,
Aaron
