What kind of reaction is hybridization.

What kind of reaction is hybridization.It is endothermic or exothermic.

Are you talking about DNA hybridization, like that which occurs in a Southern blot?

Just making sure. Hydrogen bonds occur spontaneously, so what does that tell you?

What do you mean by that? What I'm trying to get at is that H-bond formation is exothermic. Base paired DNA is more stable.

Edit: Well, that's not to say that there aren't spontaneous endothermic reactions, but hybridization is exothermic.
