SUMMARY

Jogging can cause abdominal pain due to increased blood flow to the spleen, which is located on the left side of the body. This sensitivity can lead to discomfort during exercise. Proper warm-up routines are essential to mitigate such issues and enhance overall performance. Incorporating a structured warm-up can significantly reduce the likelihood of experiencing belly pain while jogging.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of human anatomy, specifically the location and function of the spleen.
  • Knowledge of proper warm-up techniques for cardiovascular exercise.
  • Familiarity with the physiological effects of exercise on the body.
  • Basic principles of exercise safety and injury prevention.
NEXT STEPS
  • Research effective warm-up routines for jogging and running.
  • Learn about the physiological responses of the body during exercise, focusing on blood circulation.
  • Explore common causes of abdominal pain during physical activity and their prevention.
  • Investigate the role of hydration and nutrition in exercise performance and comfort.
USEFUL FOR

Does it hurt on the left? That is where your spleen is located, it is an organ through which a lot blood is circulating. During exercise the increased flow of blood can make the organ sensitive.

You should always do a warming-up before exercise. Doing this properly will probably take care of this problem.
