SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the appearance of a US IP address when using the netstat command on a computer. Users report that despite not using any proxy masking, a US IP address consistently appears in their netstat results. This phenomenon can be attributed to various factors, including the configuration of the local network, the Internet Service Provider (ISP), or the presence of background applications that may connect to US-based servers.

  • Understanding of the netstat command and its functionality
  • Basic knowledge of IP addressing and geolocation
  • Familiarity with network configurations and ISPs
