NICE! I did that when I was about 9 or 10...I think one of the best costumes I ever had...oh, my Peter Pan one was pretty good too

I'll try to find pics

On a second note...who is going trick-or-treat-ing this year? I think I'm getting kinda old for that...

I think that my avatar has been used often enough, so I'm going to revist (vastly improve) one that I did a few years ago that I called 'Meltdown'. It's vaguely reminiscent of the Terminator when half of his face has been shot off.
I'm deeply disappointed that I didn't have the time or money to do the one I had planned (a Pierson's Puppeteer from Larry Niven's books). Next year...

I want to be a firefighter

That's hilarious. Accent, lingo, and everything?

I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. My stock costume is tramp/hobo. I had a nifty bamboo cane that I used to use but I don't think I have that any more.
Last year I tried dressing as a demon but the latex horns I got just looked really cheesy. I'd like to make my own so that they will look better but I don't know if I'll have time this year.

I probably won't spend the effort, but the idea I have is to be a Spanish Inquisitor. I've always wanted one of those nifty scarlet uniforms!

I should dress up as a cop and go around beating people up. Let's see how the police department gets out of THAT.

If you use my technique, you should have plenty of time. The ones on Doug the bartender in the comic member photos section (Danger's bartender) took me about 10-15 minutes. I use a styrofoam wig dummy head and sculpt whatever I want on it with plasticene, then brush on paste wax and a couple of layers of liquid latex. It'll dry in a few minutes with the proper application of a blow-drier. Then I use that as a negative mould and make the appliance out of anywhere from 2 to 10 layers of latex (depending upon desired thickness and strength). Remember to wax the inside of the mould too. The avatar took a couple of days, but that was when I was letting the latex air-dry.

I'm too lazy to dress up, so I'll just throw on a dark hoody, borrow someone's make-up and walk around with my head-on-a-pike. (have an actual head on a pike)

I don't know yet... Halloween 2003 I wore a dress, my friend's fancy dress Bday party I was little red riding hood. I may keep the theme going.

I'm going to be 1 of the PFer. :-p(you can't guess who!)

I'm just going to wear a white garbage bag, coat my face and hands in white makeup, and tape a black piece of yarn to the garbage bag.

I'm not going to wear anything.

I can see the connection... transvestitism... Ed Wood... horror movies... Halloween. That's how I'd rationalise it, anyway.

Might I suggest that a post-Hallowe'en thread be established to display members' costume photos?

That was quite a party. One of my friends told me he was considering hitting on me before he got a front view and realized who I was.
The friend that I borrowed the dress from apparently never wore it again.

I'm not sure whether to be proud or ashamed.

"Can you help me get this bra on" is a line I hope never to repeat

I should think that it would depend upon the reason for her (him?) tossing it. Is it because she figures she'd never look as good in it as you did, or because you left a surprise behind for her?
