Graduate Thermodynamics Derivative Reduction Problems
Hi everyone, I'm in a graduate level mechanical engineering thermodynamics class. We're working on derivative reductions using the gibbs and maxwell relations. I was wondering if anyone has any good sources of practice problems that I could use. I've looked through my textbook and there are...- AJSayad

Engineering Experimental Fluid Mechanics Vs. Computational Fluid Mechanics
Hi everyone, I just started graduate school and I've been working in an experimental fluid mechanics lab. We have a shock tube and run tests on studying supersonic and hypersonic airflow under different conditions. We use Schileren imaging and transducers to take measurements during tests. We...- AJSayad

SolidWorks Sketching Visual Problem
Hi Guys, thanks for the response! I did some digging online and after a long search I found out that it was a problem with one of the graphics settings. Deep in the settings of the software there is an "enhanced graphics" setting that apparently causes that issue sometimes. After turning it off...- AJSayad

SolidWorks Sketching Visual Problem
Hi Everyone, I could use some help in SolidWorks, when I go to sketch geometry, the software creates a lot of lines that extend off the starting point and they don't go away until I snap back to the starting point. I have an image attached to show what is happening. This creates a problem...- AJSayad

Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering Undergrad Senior Design Project
Hi everyone, This semester I'm enrolled in a senior design course where the students must fully design and fabricate a project from scratch that solves a problem. I've been struggling to think of ideas, so far I have some ideas on a windmill/turbine and a few electricity generation device ideas...- AJSayad

Other Taking Care of a Pet while in Grad School
That's a great point, I'm hoping to get into a lab where I can come and go as I please as long as I get my work done and attend meetings. Once I find out the main schools I'll apply to I'll reach out to some of the students there and see what they say. Thanks!- AJSayad
