Oh wow, I just figured out where I went wrong, now I see how it does not matter where the main division is located because the if all denominators are 1 then it doesn't matter if you multiply the 1 by the numberator or the denominator.
Hello,
I am not grasping how to deal with multiple divisions properly.
If I have a/1 divided by b/1 divided by c/1
How do I know if the compressed form is ac/b or a/bc?
Can you explain what you mean by the difference between a length and an inverse length.
Despite the fact that the wavelength is inversly proportional to the velocity I still think that if you get a different wavelength you get a different length of the wave period.
AND if you change the...
Thank you Tom for the quick reply!
I will start tryng to bend my mind around relative wavelengths, and I looked up an MKS table, that is very helpful, thanks again!
Non-Locality requires a faster then light signal. I don't think any of his equations include something like this, in fact they require that all signals max out at the speed of light.
He understood that Relativity was not the final solution to physics and that we just do not understand how to...
Hello,
I would like to determine the Wavelength of many different macroscopic objects for a theoretical project and I am having trouble understanding how to use the equation correctly due to relative velocities.
When computing Wavelength = h/ Velocity * Mass I see example of calculating...
Time is constant at the speed of light.
Someone explain to me how light can travel in anything other then a vacuum when it is soooo small that it travels between the elementary particles where everything is vacuum.
When light travels through water it is still traveling at full speed it...
Correct me if I am wrong but light always travels at the same speed, it just takes longer to travel through a body of water because it is not traveling along a straight path as it would in a vac...
Photons are responsible for the magnetic field according to theoretical physics. Also Muons are responsible for the strong force that holds protons and neutrons together. Gravity well.. we don't know yet.
There is lots of information out there about how photons transmit the electromagnetic...
But when you are on the train you are still moving at a speed relative to everything else in the universe right? Everything is an observer, I think I am trying to think about too many things at once..
Thats what happens in relativity, when you speed up time slows down because it takes longer for the elementary particles to play out their roles because the distances traveled are greater.. This is what generates what we see as time and is the reason why if you go very very fast you will live...
I can't accept that though, I have read and read and read about general relativity and much of it makes sense but when I think about the distrance the photons that communicate between the atoms in a system, like the human body, must travel based on speed I need a constant or an origin of this...
I think neuroscientists are still trying to figure this out. I am pretty sure it all comes down to cellular automata, simple rules that generate complex systems like consciousness. Sorry I could not be of more help..
