    Question about coulomb's force.

Now I have found what is the reason. Thank you very much for help rl.bhat.

    Question about coulomb's force.

Why find the differentiation with respect to q and then equate it to 0? I mean why force will be maximum when we do this? Can anyone explain? Moreover, whether we differentiate the expression with "Q" or "q"?

    Electric dipole moment question

"a pair of equal and opposite electric charges or magnetic poles separated by a small distance". I was also thinking that we cannot assume that both charges are positive, but my teacher gave me this question as an assignment. I thought that may be there is a solution for this. So confused!

    Question about coulomb's force.

    1. A certain charge "Q" is to be divided into two parts, "Q-q" and "q". What is the relation of "Q" to "q" if two parts, placed at a given distance apart, are to have the maximum coulomb's repulsion? I am unable to find the condition when there is a maximum Coulomb's repulsion. Any help will...

    Electric dipole moment question

    1. In an electric dipole moment, assume that both charges are positive and find the electric field "E" at point "P", assuming X>>d, where "d" is the distance between the two charges and "X" is the distance of point "P" from the center of the dipole. I have thought a lot about it but I am very...
