    Transformer connected in parallel question

Thanks for your help. I worked out the loads on the two Transformers connected in parallel and then worked out the difference in percentage overload and submitted my answer and this came back correct. I think it was just the question that was puzzling me I was not sure what it was asking. :)

    Transformer connected in parallel question

    Looking at this again and i have found Full load current presuming 1000v and at single phase: Transformer A = 300000/1000 = 300A Transformer B = 200000/1000 = 200A I know that power factor is 0.45 lag so this is cos^-1 0.45 = 63.25 degrees kVA a = kVA total (Zb/Za+Zb) kVA b = kVA total...

    Transformer connected in parallel question

For some reason i can't upload the attachment anyways the question is as follows: Transformer A is rated at 300 kVA with an impedance of (0.09+j0.18)Ω Transformer B is rated at 200 kVA with an impedance of (0.09+j0.23)Ω if these transformers are connected in parallel to supply a common...

    Transformer connected in parallel question

Homework Statement The question is as per my attachmentHomework Equations The Attempt at a Solution I found the following help of the internet but do not know where to start any assistance would be appreciated: you don't need to be concerned about matched turns ratio. You can assume that the...

Odd & Even Functions (was thread Fourier Series )

Just read back over this thread and now it makes sense sometimes you cannot see the wood for the trees thanks all

Odd & Even Functions (was thread Fourier Series )

    f(x)=(x^2+2)sin(x)tan(x^2) =((-x)^2+2)sin(-x)tan((-x)^2)) = f(-x) so function is odd?
  8. E

Odd & Even Functions (was thread Fourier Series )

    so last one would be: f(x)=(x^2+2)sin(x)tan(x^2) =((-x)^2+2)sin(x)tan((-x)^2)) = f(x)
  9. E

Odd & Even Functions (was thread Fourier Series )

so next would be: f(x)=(-x^2)tan(-x^2) =x^2+2tanx^2 =f(x) so f would be odd?

Odd & Even Functions (was thread Fourier Series )

Odd & Even Functions (was thread "Fourier Series") Homework Statement determine if the functions below are odd even or neither: a) f(x)=x^2+2 b) f(x)=(x^2+2)tan(x^2) c) f(x) = (x^2+2)sin(x)tan(x^2)Homework Equations even - f(x) = f(-x) odd - f(-x)=-f(x) The Attempt at a Solution I've managed...

T to ∏ Conversion | Solve Homework Statement

    so T to ∏ conversion: Rab = Ra x Rb + Ra x Rc + Rb x Rc / Rc so z x z +z x 2z + z x 2z / 2z = 2.5 z so Rbc = 5z Rac = 5z is this along the right track?
