How Does Refraction Help Calculate the Depth of a Pool?
Homework Statement The bottom edge of the opposite side of an in-ground pool (n=1.33) is just visible at an angle of 18 degrees above the horizon. If the pool is 2m wide what is the depth? I think I'm stuck on trying to relate the refraction formulas as to determining depth. .. any tips...- Huskies213

How Do You Calculate the Radius of Curvature for a Mirror?
 Can anyone explain what i am doing wrong? I thought the radius of curvature is 2 x the distance from mirror.. A mirror produces an image magnified by 1.5 when your face is 29 cm from the mirror. What is the radius of curvature? I thought it would be .29m x 2 = .58m... but that...- Huskies213

Solving Sound Intensities - Hearing Threshold in W/m^2
Does anyone know how to solve this ? A group of people were exposed to 114 dB music for 60 minutes. Eleven of the 20 subjects showed a 17 dB reduction in hearing sensitivity at 4000 Hz. What is the intensity corresponding to the threshold of hearing for these people ? ( in W/m^2) thanks- Huskies213

Solving Spring System: Box Movement & Total Work
Can anyone help me with this i have no idea how to solve it. You have two identical springs, each with a relaxed length of 50 cm and a spring constant of 450 N/m, they are connected by a short cord of length 10 cm. The upper spring is attached to the ceiling. A box that weighs 98 N hangs from...- Huskies213
