Foundations Recommended Math books as preparation for bachelor in math?
I recommend reading and understanding this: http://www.mathdb.org/basic_calculus/BasicCalculus.pdf Once you fully understand that, I say then delve into other books. Understanding the basic concepts of sets, subsets, elements, neighborhoods,..., are very crucial.- infinite.curve

Undergrad Resources For Real Analysis and Concepts of Mathmatics
I have been browsing the web, and I notice that I could not find any websites that have real analysis text around. Yes, I understand that I should look for books written by professionals in the field, but I do not know which one I should buy. Do you know of some online resources to real analysis...- infinite.curve

Undergrad Why is 1/3 considered a number line point when .333.... isn't
You should not be scared by the infinite numbers. As Krylov said, they are the same. Can you please elaborate in what you are thinking? Also, why are you asking the question. The answer lies in a not so basic proof. Here is something that hints on what you are searching for...- infinite.curve

Testing Is the SAT Required for Elite Educational Institutes?
So universities like MIT consider >25 English score to be exceptional? If that's the case, he got a 26. Would his score on math make him likely to be considered? Does the ACT & SAT weigh the same for colleges? Do they prefer one from the other?- infinite.curve

Testing Is the SAT Required for Elite Educational Institutes?
Yea... I think it is the one out of 800 I was speaking of. He is scared of the SAT because he has a language barrier (kind of like me). He took the ACT & received a 35 in the math portion. But received in the mid 20s in English. How should I encourage him?- infinite.curve

Testing Is the SAT Required for Elite Educational Institutes?
Well, I was wondering if the SAT is actually required for applying to 'elite' educational institutes, such as Harvard, MIT or Caltech. I ask this because my cousin is refusing to take the SAT, but gets outstanding grades in school; and have received 5s his subjects tests. Would they take...- infinite.curve

Has Academia Been Hijacked by Social Agendas?
Thank you for the correction. No, education is not required in India, but is heavily desired by the elders for their youth. The youth mostly listen to their parents, and if they are fortunate enough to have the mobility and little money it takes not to have a helping hand, they take it...- infinite.curve
