    News America's Isolationist Policies: From Washington to Bush - A Critical Analysis

    Wilson's mistake, Bush's . . . ? George Washington, a founder of the United States of America, set forth in his farewell address that the 13 colonies should not take part in any squabbles that involved the colonies participation in political wars with other nations (not in its hemisphere)...

    Hess's Law and change of enthelpy

    EUREKA! I GOT IT :) :) 2 (C + O2 -> CO2) change in Enthalpy = 2(-394) kj/mol 2CO2 -> O2 + 2CO change in Enthalpy = 2(239.3) kj/mol = 2C + O2 -> 2CO change in Enthalpy = 221 kj/mol + or - 1 kj/mol :D ;) :)

    Hess's Law and change of enthelpy

    The enthalpy of combustion of solid carbon to form carbon dioxide is -393.7 kj/mol carbon, and the enthalpy of combustion of carbon monoxide to form carbon dioxide is -283.3 kj/mol CO. Use these data to calculate change of enthalpy for the reaction 2C(s) + O2(g) -> 2CO(g)...

    Chemical equation simplification

    RE actually this is the reaction I meant CO + O2 -> CO2 (Unbalanced) sorry it was a mistake originally

    Chemical equation simplification

    4CO + 2CO2 -> 4CO2 this is Balanced when I simplify, the simplification doesn't work 2CO + O2 -> 2CO2 3 moles of O2 does not equal 4 Moles of O2 where's my error?

    Undergrad Calculating Mean Probability with Sampling Distributions | Sample Size 200

    The Mean will stay approximately the same no matter how large the size of the sample. However, the standard deviation will decrease if the sample gets larger ------------------------ thanks for answering upsidedown;

    Undergrad Calculating Mean Probability with Sampling Distributions | Sample Size 200

    The mean probability of 100 observations is .0422. If you are not given the data for a sample size of 200, how do you find the mean probability of this data using the mean probability you found from .0422? thanks

    How Do You Calculate the Mole Fraction of NaCl in a Solution?

    RE; How did you formulate this, GeneralChemtutor? Does that mean .824 H20 solvent = .824 NaCl solute? ---------------------------------------------------------- If this is true . . . doesn't it need to be 2(.824)? B/c ionic solute's dissolve . . . like this -> NaCl -> 1 mol Na + 1 mol...

    How Do You Calculate the Mole Fraction of NaCl in a Solution?

    Here is the question: A solution of sodium chloride in water has a vapor pressure of 19.6 torr at 25 degrees celsius. What is the mole fraction of NaCl in this solution? The vapor pressure of pure water is 23.8 torr at 25 degrees celsius...

    Utlilizing Dalton's Law of Partial Pressures

    If a 2.0 L container of oxygen at 3 Atmospheres of pressure is poured into a 5.0 L container of Hydrogen at 3 atmospheres of pressure. What is the partial pressure of oxygen in new container? What is the new total pressure in the container? I'm not sure how to start this . . . if you could...

    Is chemistry easier than physics?

    both subjects "bite" hard. Physics is easier in high school than chem is . . . but otherwise I would consider them both hard in college.
