Wiring Generator: Connect 3 Phase Wild AC
I have two wind turbines that I am trying to wire up for power generation. They are three phase wild ac. I have a charge controller setup with dump resistor but I want to know if I can take the wires and connect each of the three wires to their counter part from the other generator and then...- Isimanica

Wind turbine blades and bearing calculation help
savonius blades have a estimated TSR of one since it is a drag device and not a lift device. We can calculate the area of the blade that will have the wind pushing against. What I need to determine is if the blades will rotate on our bearings based upon the wind speed that is hitting it.- Isimanica

Wind turbine blades and bearing calculation help
Ok I have a design project that I am working on for the University this semester. Having a bit of problems trying to figure out and issue revolving around the wind force on our savonius blades. We are trying to make sure our blades will rotate with a wind speed of 10 mph. We have the blade total...- Isimanica

Finding Axial Forces in a Truss to Solving for BC, BD, and BE
So I should divide right down the middle of CE and BD correct? And that the the two forces reacting at B the x force is also the force of BD, that they are one and the same.- Isimanica

How Can I Determine the Weights of Fish A, C, and D in Mobile Equilibrium?
So then I just say that I set A=D(14)/4 Replace A in equation B(4)=12(D+ (D(14)/4)) Solve for D and then replace D and A values that I get into the equation for C(24)=6(B+D+A) solve for C and that is it? Please tell me that it wasn't that simple?- Isimanica

Finding the Tensions using the sum of moments
So what I need to do to find the Tensions of BE and BD I need to set up the Tension times the Perpendicular distance to point A? Do I need to take the tensions and place them as if they are only in the x-z plane? I guess what I am trying to figure out is how do I need to go about to get the...- Isimanica

Solve Beam with 3 Supports Problem
Homework Statement Well this is the second time I have been given a problem that I just don't know what to do at work. Simply put you have a beam that has 3 supports. A,B,C. With a weight at point w. The goal I am told is to find all 3 points with just the the known of w (weight), L(length...- Isimanica

Deriving the load point on equipment base
See this is what driving me batty. I know that uniform load would distribute evenly if it is at the center of gravity. Knowing that also should the center of gravity move then the weight distribution will shift. But some where there must be a formula that gives you a way to know with some...- Isimanica

Deriving the load point on equipment base
Currently they use a formula of taking the ratio between the length or width (dependent upon the side used) of where the Center of Gravity is located at. This ratio is what is used to then find the two components that make up the corner and determine the weight that is distributed. This of...- Isimanica
