Unit Conversion W➝J: Break-Even in 50 Years?
Homework Statement Effective Power generation of the plant is 5.43*10^{7}W but it will required 9*10^{16}J to be created. Essentially the break-even will after solving equation Energy required/Power Generated however I get results of almost 50 years. Would this be correct...- JJ91

Gap in Joints of Large Steel Constructions
Hello, I'm a very curious EPE student (electrical power engineer) who is trying to figure out why there are variable gaps between joints of large steel structures. Because of this gap the stress seems to be distributed with peak force at the intersection of the bottom plate, why is this...- JJ91

High School Is kitchen wrap adhesive because of Electric Charge?
Hello, I just came across this question and no answer could be find, my best assumption is that kitchen foil is simply 'holding' into positveley charged materials? Thanks, JJ- JJ91

What's the Difference Between Amplification and Gain?
Hello, I can't figure out what's the difference between the two: Gain - how much the amplitude of the signal was increased/decreased Amplification - how much the amplitude of the signal was increased/decreased If we take a basic inverting amplifier circuit: http://alturl.com/39n78 We...- JJ91

Does anyone know a program for creating schematics?
Very basic one which I used long time ago (but it's good to start with) is: flastad.com/circuit (free) More advanced toy is: pspice (9.1) - http://www.engr.uky.edu/~cathey/pspice061301.html which is also free. I would recommend to start with pspice, find a few tutorials and you will be fine.- JJ91

Which Coil Shape is Better for Eddy Current Measurements?
Hi, I'm currently in a dead spot of my mini-project where I've to decide upon the coil shape. I can't find adequate definition of both coils by the means of: - size - losses - frequency range - inductance - skin depth which makes it impossible to argue which one would be better...- JJ91

No right to remove account. No right to change nickname?
#1 I've tried to remove the account but looks like it's impossible? Does Data Protection Act 1998 doesn't supposed to work everywhere? #2 is it also impossible to change my nickname?- JJ91

[Unit conversion] From r/min to period (msec)
All right, thank you very much. I will use the very first formula, still it isn't exact 2.5msec.- JJ91
