Is a conventional lathe a 1.5 axis machine tool?
rotating about the x y z axes make up the 4th 5th and 6th axis. it has nothing to do with the tool moving and the table moving.- joshmdmd

Limit of Trigonometric f'n as x approaches 0
nope. it has to be done without L'Hospital's rule, and we learn the taylor / maclaurin series next semester?. My attempts to rearrange it only get down to x on the bottom, can't seem to shake it out.- joshmdmd

Limit of Trigonometric f'n as x approaches 0
Homework Statement Find the following limit as x tends to zero (idk how to code this stuff properly so the lim is lim as x->0) lim (sinx-tanx)/x^3 Homework Equations lim(sinx)/x = 1 lim(cosx) = 1 lim(1-cosx)/x = 0 The Attempt at a Solution attempted to multiply by...- joshmdmd

Schools University - Physics or Mech Eng
I would enjoy both equally. If I go to UofT then I figure I would either transfer to Mech if I don't like it, or double major, or get a masters. If I go to Ryerson then I'll get my BSc and then find work.- joshmdmd

Do not know how to projectile velocity at given time.
This is an outdated question. It would be simple to separate velocity and then work on vertical velocity at 1.2s. Then you can add the components back together to get the velocity.- joshmdmd

How do you motivate yourself to study?
I can't sit still without music. I just open up a huge trance set and do work. If I try to sit down and do stuff, I can only do it when I know it has immediate impact on my mark.. Assignments and Evaluations.- joshmdmd

Grade 12U Calculus - Algebraic Vectors+Cross&Dot Product
cos(inversecos(4/21)) = 4/21 i know this is two years late and pretty useless but i have my test in a few days and I googled a question worded slightly different. Thanks, i know 7 now. 17. The vectors x = (-4,p,-2) and y = (-2,3,6) are such that inversecos(4/21) = theta, where theta is...- joshmdmd

Calculating the mass of the moon given radius.
I have been assigned this question.. the answer according to my worksheet is given as 7.4E22kg I cannot get this answer by finding a through a=d/t^2, My attempt: Fnet=ma=Fg=Gmm/r^2 ma=Gmm/r^2 a=Gm/r^2 (r^2*a)/G = 3.631304348E22 (its half of the actual answer.. what am I doing wrong??)- joshmdmd

How Does a Tin Can Phone Transmit Sound?
Im just going to put out a guess.. Both tin cans are identical in shape so they both encode and decode the same way. The first one simply converts the sound into a vibration in the string, and the second cup converts it back.. An example of this could probably be sending and receiving radio...- joshmdmd
