Volume flow rate and mass flow rate
Hello there, so I have answered my question from fluid systems but the answer doesn't look right ;/ and I have no idea what have I done wrong. Can you please check and correct where it's wrong ? ;) here is the question: A pipe contains a gradually tapering section in which its diameter decreases...- MNWO

Determine the reaction forces at the supports
Hello, so I've been given this question and I get a different anwser then my friends. Can you check if what I wrote is right? If its wrong then can you tell me what have I done wrong? Sorry for the quality of the picture but my Paint skills are not so great :) I was measuring to the right...- MNWO

A space vehicle splitting into two parts (velocity question)
I used these extra digits because when i was checking the anwser it was wrong by about 9-10 m/s, then i realized that those numbers after the dot make a difference. Anyways thanks for help I really appreciate it :)- MNWO

A space vehicle splitting into two parts (velocity question)
So I have worked it out like this: Momentum before explosion mass1 (m1)= 859kg mass2 (m2)=250kg 859kg+250kg=1109kg 1109kg x 1400ms= 1552600 N they are moving with two diferrent velocities with the velocity of the smaller mass(v2) moving faster by 120m/s so v2-v1=120m/s v2=v1+120 m/s I can...- MNWO

A space vehicle splitting into two parts (velocity question)
Hi, so i have finished this question but I am not sure if I did it right. Could you guys check it and tell me if its right or show me where i went wrong. This is the question: A space vehicle traveling At a velocity of 1400m/s separates by a controlled explosion into two sections of mass 859kg...- MNWO

Resistance of the ground problem
I done it like this, can you tell me if the answer is right? Mass of the hammer(mh) x velocity*=mass of the hammer+mass of the pile (mp) v2* 170x10.84=(170+410) v2 1842.8=580 x v2 V2=1842.8/580 (the velocity of the hammer and the pile together)V2=3.17 m/s A= V*-U*/2s A= 3.17*-0*/2x0.075 A=66.99...- MNWO

Maximum power developed by a lift
Hi guys, I've been given a question where it asks me to work out : work done , the tension in lifting cable and the maximum power developed and the problem is that I don't know what the maximum power developed means. Isn't it the same as the work done ? If its not, then what's the formula to...- MNWO

Resistance of the ground problem
Hi guys, so I've been given a physics question which is black magic to me, so I thought i will ask you for help :) Here is the question: A pile driver hammer of mass 170kg falls freely through a distance of 6m to strike a pile of mass 410kg and drives it 75mm into the ground. The hammer does...- MNWO
