Preparing Reactants and Making Products
Homework Statement 1) Having nitrogen gas, hydrogen gas, and oxygen gas, obtains ammonium nitrate (write down the equation for each step). Homework Equations Nitrogen gas = N2 Hydrogen gas = H2 Oxygen gas = O2 The Attempt at a Solution So we have 2N2 + 4H2 + 3O2 -> (NH4)2(NO3)2 but...- MysticDude

How do I keep the notebook battery in good state for as long as possible
Well, as many the two users above me already said about the battery being uselessly charged, it's true. I used to have a laptop (well, I got another one :D) and the battery would not last for more than 10 minutes like you said. So what I'm doing with my new one is that whenever I'm running it...- MysticDude

Why do so many professors use Macs?
I thought schools used Macs because of school discounts or something. In my high school, the laptops that are given to the teachers are Macs, but they all also have a Windows desktop. Personal preference, games, in my opinion it is easier to use than Macs, and of course...the toolbar!- MysticDude

Chemistry Concentration of Molecules in the Air
I know that I should watch significant numbers. I just plugged in everything directly into my calculator. Thanks a bunch for checking!- MysticDude

Chemistry Concentration of Molecules in the Air
I changed that a minute after I saw the negative. I guess the picture didn't update o.o Anyway, I got something like 192764220 molecules/milliliter. Can you compare?- MysticDude

Chemistry Concentration of Molecules in the Air
Okay, so by using Coto's equation, I get 3.207 x 10-13\frac{mol}{L}. So to get \frac{molecules}{milliliter}, I would have to do this: 3.207 x 10^{-13}\frac{mol}{L} x \frac{1 L}{1000 mL} x 6.022x10^{23}\frac{molecules}{mol}...in order to get my answer, right?- MysticDude

Chemistry Concentration of Molecules in the Air
Yes, but I'm missing the volume. I only have the 300 km in the air for information.- MysticDude

Chemistry Concentration of Molecules in the Air
Homework Statement At a height of 300km above the Earth's surface, an astronaut finds that the atmospheric pressure is about 10-8 mmHg and the temperature 500 K. How many molecules are there per milliliter at this altitude? Homework Equations The Attempt at a Solution I first...- MysticDude

Drawing Free Body Diagrams for Acceleration Problems
Well, my teacher didn't go into too much detail about these problems. My teacher does put attention to detail sometimes though. So if the skydiver "just jumped" then there would be a the force of the air rushing against him. In other words, should it be something like this: O--------> air force...- MysticDude

Drawing Free Body Diagrams for Acceleration Problems
So it's just like: |\ ..\ ...\...Tension at 25° ...\ ...O ...| ...|...mg ...| ...V Hopefully you can understand this, if not, I'll upload a picture.- MysticDude

Drawing Free Body Diagrams for Acceleration Problems
Now that I think more about it, I think that "force of bob" should just be T for tension. I guess that that counteracts mg so there really is no normal in the free body diagram?- MysticDude

Drawing Free Body Diagrams for Acceleration Problems
Homework Statement Draw free body diagrams: A rectangular block being accelerated on a horizontal, frictionless surface. A skydiver who had just jumped from a plane and hasn't reached terminal velocity. A cube being accelerated up a 30° incline with μk > 0. A pendulum bob that has just been...- MysticDude
