Problem involving slits, diffraction, and incident angle.
Hi. I am a bit confused with this question: A plane wave of 400-nm light is incident on a 25-µ(mu) m slit in a screen, as shown in the figure below. At what incident angle will the first null of the diffraction pattern be on a line perpendicular to the screen? (picture is attached). Do I...- nobb

Calculate Molality of Antifreeze Needed to Reduce Freezing Point of Water -1 atm
Hi. How many grams of antifreeze must be dissolved in 300 g of water in order to reduce the freezing point of water to –13.02o C under 1 atm pressure (Kf: 1.86 o C/molal and C3H5(OH)3: 92.09 g/mol). I have not learned molality yet and I am completely confused as to where to start. I...- nobb

Undergrad Doppler Effect: Finding Frequency vs Time
Hi. I am doing a project about the Doppler Effect and I was wondering if someone here could help me. I have a tone source and I need to find the frequency with respect to time. I could use my mp3 player to record this frequency, which will then save it as a .wav file. I was wondering if...- nobb

Wrting a paper on morals Is a definitive answer on morals important?
Thanks for your reply with examples. However, I am still unsure of whether having a definitive answer will make a question more or less important. Right now, I am thinking that just because a question does not have a universally accepted answer, does not make it more or less important. I do...- nobb

Will this 2.2 watt solar charger charge my booster pack?
Hey. I am not too knowledgeable on this topic so I was wondering if some of the knowledgeable folk here could help me out. Anyways, I have a 12 volt vehicle booster pack which is pretty discharged. There are no ratings on it except for the label that says "ES 2500." I am guessing that the 2500...- nobb

Calculating Resistance of Z for 6V Identical Lamps in Parallel Circuit
The identical lamps in the circuit (attachment) each have a resistance R at their rated voltage of 6V. The lamps are to be run in parallel with each other using a 12V source and a series resistor Z in the circuit as shown. If the lamps are to operate at their rated voltage, what must be the...- nobb

Suggest a topic for me to write an essay about?
Could you give me an example of easily explanable material on string theory? Maybe I could focus on a small area. I don't really have much knowledge of string theory at the moment. I've only watched Nova's The Elegant Universe, and I'm very interested.- nobb
