Advice needed on which class to drop
Gotcha. I had a feeling that it would make the most sense dropping that class. It's a shame because I'm really interested in that class and I like the professor but it's probably the best for me not to take it. Thanks for your advice! Any additional opinions are welcome!- opprobe

Advice needed on which class to drop
Hey guys! I am a 4th year Physics university student and I wanted some advice on what class(es) I should consider dropping. I am taking too many challenging courses and I really do need to drop one or two classes. Here are the list of classes that I have and a short description (and a personal...- opprobe

How to Calculate Work for Isothermal Processes with a Non-Ideal Gas?
Homework Statement Gas obeys Equation of State, PV=RT/(1-bP), where b is a temperature dependent constant. Isothermal process (T is constant) V goes from V1 to V2 P goes from P1 to P2 Show that the amount of Work is W=(P1V1-P2V2)+RTln[(P22V2)/(P12V1) Homework Equations W=-∫P(V)dV...- opprobe

Graduate Vertical Motion with Linear Drag Derivation
I was looking through a Taylor's Classical Mechanics chapter and I have a question about the derivation. So basically, it starts out with m\dot{v}_{y}=mg - bv_{y} and you find v_{ter} by letting m\dot{v}_{y}=0 where when you solve for v_{y} you will get v_{ter}. Now the book states how we... -

Quantum Physics without taking Modern Physics
That sounds very reassuring! Yeah, I'm really bummed out that I cannot take Modern Physics before Quantum Physics but I just got to deal with it. I might try to study Modern on my own while taking Quantum this semester.- opprobe

Quantum Physics without taking Modern Physics
Hello everyone! I recently have transferred to a 4-year institution from a 2 year community college. Unfortunately, my community college did not offer Modern Physics and so I did not take the course. I am currently trying to pursue a B.S. in Physics and it requires me to take Quantum Physics...- opprobe
