Galilean Transforms-Relativity
I think i get what you're saying, and it makes sense but I am for some reason still arriving at the wrong answer. can you check my work. The Consevation of linear momentum is m1v1=m2v2 but if the total has to equal zero then 0=3x+6y where x and y are their respective velocities. making...- psingh

Galilean Transforms-Relativity
Homework Statement A 9.0 kg artillery shell is moving to the right at 100 m/s when suddenly it explodes into two fragments, one twice as heavy as the other. Measurements reveal that 900 J of energy are released in the explosion and that the heavier fragment was in front of the lighter...- psingh

Calculating Volume Charge Density in a Sphere of Charge
A sphere of radius R has total charge Q. the volume chrage density within the sphere is p=p_0(1-r/R) the charge density decreases linearly from p_0 at the center to zero at the edge of the sphere. 1) show that p_0= 3Q/pi*R^3 to find this i used p*volume=Q Q/volume=p...- psingh

Calculating Water Output of a 2.0 hp Electric Motor
yea i understand the question a tiny bit more, but don't you have to find the volume of water being pumped up? this is what i got so far but I am completely not sure since its 2 hp.. 745.8w*2*3600s= is the energy of the motor in 1 hour. h= -10 or 10 depending on where u place your axis...- psingh

Calculating Water Output of a 2.0 hp Electric Motor
A 2.0 hp electric motor on a water well pumps water from 10 m below the surface. The density of water is 1.0 kg per liter. How many liters of water does the motor pump in 1 hr? im not sure what equation to use on this problem, so if anyone could let me know that would be good thanks!- psingh

Optimizing Motion: Calculating Time for Frictional Motion Between Two Blocks
The coefficient of static friction is 0.60 between the two blocks in figure. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the lower block and the floor is 0.20. Force causes both blocks to cross a distance of 5.0 m, starting from rest. What is the least amount of time in which this motion can...- psingh
