Graduate Quantum Chaos: Existence and Stability
Chaos can emerge whenever there is a feedback loop...for example when a hockey puck slides across the ice its speed depends on friction and the amount of friction depends on speed. I could see a group of particles exhibing chaos with a speed / magnetism feedback loop, however, not a single...- scienceteacher

Graduate Calculating Fluid Friction in a Spiraling Tube of Varying Diameter and Shape
My first post too! I think you are more interested in the relationship between the pressure of the fluid and the speed of the fluid as the volume of the conatainer changes. I would check out the Navier-Stokes equation.- scienceteacher

Graduate Understanding Energy Conservation in Magnetic Fields and Current-Induced Wires
When current is introduced inside of a wire it creates a magnetic field...also generating a magnetic potential energy for any nearby magnetic fields. How is energy conserved in this process? Similarly... I read that a large 13 mile wire was put into orbit around Earth's magnetic field...- scienceteacher

Graduate Are all photons the same or do they have different properties?
Does that mean photons of light can be force mediating for the EM field?? That doesn't seem to add up...or maybe I am wrong. Also, how do scientists deal with the two different charges? If all photons are identical, how is one supposed deal with the fact that a proton's photons would affect a...- scienceteacher

Graduate Are all photons the same or do they have different properties?
I thought all photons were identical...some would just have more energy associated with them. Anhow...I guess my question is: what is the difference between photons of light and nonvirtual force mediating photons??- scienceteacher

Graduate Null Physics: A Paradigm Shift in Modern Science?
I heard about a book called 'null physics' which is supposedly a paradigm shift in modern physics that unifies many aspects of science. Anybody read this book and can clue me into the main ideas? Thanks for the time...I teach science.- scienceteacher

Why Does H2O2 Form Instead of H2O?
Why H2O2 and Not H20?? I was wondering under what conditions hydrogen and Oxygen combine to form H2O2 instead of water. The decomposition of H2O2 into water is exothermic, meaning when we separate the oxygen atom we have less chemical potential energy. The way it was taught to me, less CPE...- scienceteacher

Undergrad Absorption of Light and Energy Conservation
Hello everybody. I apologize if this question is a little trivial compared to a lot of the threads posted, but I am an 8th grade science physical science teacher and am a little confused about some of the material. From what I understand, if an atom absorbs a photon of energy E, then an...- scienceteacher
