Consevative and non-conservative forces
Thank you so much for responding. If that is the case, my answer still does not make sense. If Kx=friction, then 8.04x=0.0328 which causes x to be 0.4079cm.- Tmtamrak

Consevative and non-conservative forces
A toy cannon uses a spring to project a 5.39 g soft rubber ball. The spring is originally compressed by 4.99 cm and has a force constant of 8.04 N/m. When the cannon is fired, the ball moves 15.8 cm through the horizontal barrel of the cannon, and there is a constant frictional force of 0.0328 N...- Tmtamrak

Calculating Potential Energy Changes in a Roller Coaster System
The height changes by 9.6m... If I do (800kg)(9.8)(41.15m) = 322,616J .. but that is not the correct answer either.- Tmtamrak

Calculating Potential Energy Changes in a Roller Coaster System
A 800 kg roller-coaster car is initially at the top of a rise, at point A. It then moves 135 ft, at an angle of 40.0° below the horizontal, to a lower point B. (a) Choose the car at point B to be the zero configuration for gravitational potential energy of the roller coaster-Earth system. Find...- Tmtamrak
