Improving Torque Data Signal with Digital Filtering
Hello, I have a three phase brushless motor and was trying to measure its torque and speed using a torque sensor. The motor will first go to its maximum speed which is about 6000RPM, then I applied a brake to decrease its velocity. Here is what I get as a result of data acquisition : The...- Trainee28

Equivalent resistance and inductance
Actually I am trying to simulate a voltage chopper. With U(t) a 20kHz PWM voltage source 12V and 50% duty cycle, I know that the current I(t) will rise during the conduction part of the voltage signal and fall when the voltage drop to 0. With only one branch of resistance in series with an...- Trainee28

Equivalent resistance and inductance
It is a 20kHz PWM voltage signal of 12V, with a duty cycle of 50%. So that will make it an average voltage of 6V. But I don't know how to relate a PWM voltage source signal to a complex impedance calculation.- Trainee28

Finding out Kv motor velocity constant
Hello, If I take a DC motor and put it in generator mode, what will happen if I connect a resistance at the wire ending of the DC motor? Will the motor turn slower compared to when the electric wire of the motor is connected to nothing? What effect will the resistance have on the current...- Trainee28

Line current three phase motor in six step commutation
Hello, I have got a three phase motor connected in delta that is controlled in six step commutation. When I measure the line current of one of the phase under oscilloscope, I got something like this : Can anyone tell me why the amplitude of the current isn't 3.1A and -3.1A? What I got here...- Trainee28

Equivalent resistance and inductance
Homework Statement Hello, I am going to ask a rather simple question yet I wasn't able to solve. I have a circuit which I wanted to find out about the equivalent resistance and inductance. I know how to find the equivalent resistance of two resistors in parallel as well as two inductors in...- Trainee28

Calculating Phase Resistance for BLDC Motor: What Factors Should I Consider?
Hello, I have a three phase BLDC motor and I am trying to figure out its phase resistance. I have acquired the three-phase voltages and three-phase line currents of this motor. The voltage is in trapezoidal form whereas the current is in rectangular form My question is: how can I find out the...- Trainee28

Data acquisition on torque sensor
Actually, I am working on a test bench to characterize electric motor. The test bench is used to find out the values of inductance, resistance, rotor inertia, torque and speed of any three phase brushless motor mounted on the test bench. On the test bench, there is an electromagnetic brake to...- Trainee28

Data acquisition on torque sensor
Hello, I am a new member. I have some question concerning data acquisition on a torque sensor and I hope someone can help me out. I have a torque sensor that I use to mesure the torque and speed of a motor. The torque sensor outputs an analog signal of +/-5V (torque) and two digital signals...- Trainee28
