News Another reason Bush is dangerous

that's because bush is a stupid whore. theres just nothing more to be said. most anybody who follows enough news can go on for an hour about why he sucks so horridly. there's nothing you can say to one who doesn't understand to make him get it. conversely, to those who already know, nothing...

LaTeX LaTex help for nuclear reactions?

    yes, that is a very nice feature :) and another test...sorry... \frac{E^{}_{\textrm{difference}}}_{E^{}_{{}^2H}+E^ {}_{{}^3H}}} E^{}_{{}^2H} = 4.505\times 10^{-10}J = 281.56 E^{}_{{}^3H} = 6.012\times 10^{-10}J = 375.75 22168.125MeV

Why Does Light Experience Time Differently Than Objects with Mass?

relativity doesn't really matter till you start approaching the speed of light. even then, you can figure out relativistic speed and time using formulas, so it all simplifies down to the same thing anyways i think.

Does the human eye have limitations on detecting black surfaces?

i believe the closest attained [by a special paint] was something like 97 or 98%...pretty damn close, but not quite there yet

LaTeX LaTex help for nuclear reactions?

LaTex help for nuclear reactions? - got it, thanks i need a guideline for to get images for nuclear equations, all my attempts thus far were failures. i tried ^4_2 He + ^27_13 Al becomes ^31_15 P becomes ^30_15 P + ^1_0 n , but it didn't work. i don't know why, nor do i have the time to...

    Quantum to Classical: A Reflection

my physics teacher liked to have fun razzing the people in our class who didn't get it. he say they should free themselves from their horribly wrong Newtonian view of the world, then gently reminded us our final marks rest with him conceptualizing theoretical physics has always been easy...

How Far Does a Bus Travel After Accelerating and Decelerating?

    i won't give it away completely, but you'll be needing these equations [not in that particular order] d = v\t a = (v' - v) / t d = [(v' - v)/2]t v'^2 = v^2 + 2ad isolation and substition will be involved :)

What are possible subtopics for a physics extended essay on firearms?

on a completely tangential point, what gun do you have? ^_^ i got a mk23 socom kit and a tm mp5a4hg. it currently has a navy flashhider, clawmount, guarder 11stage RDS, 2 and 3 pt slings, 2x hicaps, 5x locaps, an ICS triplerail handgrip, mag clamp, large 8.4 3000mah battery in a case. in the...

How fast does a bullet return to earth?

it would take the same amount of time for it to go back as it would coming down. since gravity is constant [close to the surface of Earth for all practical purposes, anyways] it'll act upon the bullet with the same amount of 'pull' [for lack of better word :P] its terminal velocity depends...

    Town Battles 'Demonic' Mystery Blazes

this isn't entirely a debunk, but yahoo news [from what i know] is known for the amount of garbage it posts on its website, so its usually an unreliable source. hehe that smiley rules

Work, Stairstep Ball | P.E. Calculation

indeed, no offence intended sorry [b(] and even if we did, by listening to us you'd just be hurting yourself since you wouldn't be using such a valuable asset. i think its about as much fun to give help as it is to get it and i'll be damned if i don't need help right now...

Work, Stairstep Ball | P.E. Calculation

i think i did more difficult stuff in grade 10 and should move my question in the k-12 forum into this one so it'll get attention [honors physics class, cover first/2nd year university stuff anyways]

Very simple but I don't understand how

neglecting weak interactions between small objects, gravity should not act horizontally, it acts only on the y-axis. friction is most of what makes a car go anyways...try driving on sheer ice and you'l find out why ;)

Can Calculus Prove that Walking in a Room Will Eventually Reach the Other Side?

i did this one before, i'll try to see if i can find it... all i remember is that it has to do with limits [duh] because a finite distance when broken into an infine number of parts is still finite when added back together.

Work, Stairstep Ball | P.E. Calculation

doesn't it depend on the place you take to be 'zero potential energy'? if you set it to the center of the earth, for instance, it has a long ways to go. further still if you make it the center of the galaxy =P . but if you're assuming that the bottom of the stairs is ZPE then when it is a third...
