We live 10 miles from the Hamilton Warplane Heritage Museum and, whenever they are outside in the yard or street, the grandkids delight in screaming "PLANNNNE!",

But they are Philistines. So I made a spotter card which I will laminate and hang out on the fence.

Who knows, may be one of them will catch the bug.

How many grandkids? Investing in a demo ride at your local airport could lead to some serious pilot license pursuits...

One of the most fun things I did with my teen son was to take him on his first pilot lesson (I was in the back seat). Wonderful.

Did that for wife. One hour at the yoke. Still talks about it decades later.

The OP includes some great aircraft.

When I worked on flight simulators at NASA Ames, my then teenaged daughter and son loved to pilot the Advanced Concepts sim, a fly-by-wire twin jet engine transport. My daughter piloted so well we were treated to the full experience with radio and Air Traffic Control chatter, weather models, 3-D sound effects and full-motion. Woah.

The manager of the full-motion helicopter flight sim, also a flight instructor, took my daughter on an actual Cessna single-engine prop flight. Once airborne, she flew the Cessna over the actual route simulated by the sim.
