I'm going for a career preferably in Particle Physics, but I still have a couple years to worry about college, so I'm just wondering, Stanford or MIT? Or somewhere else? And why Standford, MIT, or other?

I am considering getting a MS in Astronautics and Aeronautics at Stanford. It's free (my employer pays the tuition) but will take about 5 years for me to get. Any thoughts if this is worth it? It'll be my second masters degree and I'm currently employed as an engineer.

I still don't get the reason for turning down their applications, maybe if they did something to influence their admissions decision I would understand.
