Several individuals are seeking information on A2 level physics evening classes in the UK, particularly for those who have completed AS level and are now working full-time. Notable institutions mentioned include Warwickshire, Southwark, and Loughborough. It is recommended to contact local Further Education Colleges, as they may provide information on available courses or alternative options like Foundation Degrees. Additionally, the Open University is suggested as a viable option for pursuing physics studies.

Does anyone know of schools or colleges that offer A2 level physics as an evening class? I did the AS a couple of years ago, enjoyed it and would like to take it to the next level. The only problem now is that I am working full time, so am looking for evening classes. I've done a google search and a few have turned up, namely Warwickshire, Southwark and Loughborough - wondering if people on here know of any more?

Thanks,

Neil

You are probably best off contacting your local Further Education College, even if they don't offer the course, they are likely to know somewhere that does. The other alternative is a Foundation Degree, where again your local FE College is most likely to know something.

Hi all, Hope you are doing well. I'm a current grad student in applied geophysics and will finish my PhD in about 2 years (previously did a HBSc in Physics, did research in exp. quantum optics). I chose my current field because of its practicality and its clear connection to industry, not out of passion (a clear mistake). I notice that a lot of people (colleagues) switch to different subfields of physics once they graduate and enter post docs. But 95% of these cases fall into either of...
