Accelerating Expansion, or Constant?

Hello, I'm new here. I have heard from sources that I do not trust that the universe is accelerating its expansion, and alternatively, that it is the same rate of expansion due to a positive cosmological constant. It's very difficult to understand which is the case. There is too much misinformation, but this site it seems, is perfect for answering this question.

Is the universe accelerating its expansion, or is the expansion constant?

Any help would be very much appreciated.
