Standard isolator pads can effectively address vibration issues in industrial settings, providing a cost-effective solution compared to active pneumatic isolation systems, which can be expensive. These off-the-shelf pads are designed to minimize vibrations, allowing for the placement of heavy machinery, like a 1000-ton punch press, near sensitive equipment without compromising accuracy. Users have reported successful results when implementing these pads in various applications. The discussion highlights the importance of selecting the right isolation method based on specific operational needs. Overall, standard isolator pads are a viable option for improving measurement accuracy in vibration-prone environments.

they got standard off the shelf isolator pads to deal wit this..worst case is active pneumatic isolation system for $ 10,000..you can put a 1000 ton punch press next to a high accuracy measurement machine and get accurate results...

Had my central air system checked when it sortta wasn't working. I guess I hadn't replaced the filter. Guy suggested I might want to get a UV filter accessory. He said it would "kill bugs and particulates". I know UV can kill the former, not sure how he thinks it's gonna murder the latter. Now I'm finding out there's more than one type of UV filter: one for the air flow and one for the coil. He was suggesting we might get one for the air flow, but now we'll have to change the bulb...
